Pick one word to describe yourself and tell why it describes you so well.
Fabulous -- need I explain why?
What do you like most about Student Savvy? (be honest)
I like that Student Savvy wants to help young adults learn how to handle their finances. It’s not easy to all of a sudden be an adult at 18 and know how to balance a checkbook, what an APR is, and how to plan for retirement.
What is the best advice you've ever received?
Always wear clean underwear.
What is your best money saving secret/technique? (c'mon, everyone has at least one)
Leave your credit card at home! If it’s safely tucked away, then it’s harder to overcharge.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
I see myself still freelance writing and hopefully planning a trip to Europe.
What is your biggest pet peeve?
When people litter.
What is your greatest accomplishment?
Graduating from college.
What is your greatest athletic achievement?
Getting kicked off the swim team in high school.
What is your greatest fear?
The dark. And ferrets.
You have 2 hours to kill. What are you going to do?
Get a pedicure and a frappucino.
Ever had a brush with fame? Explain.
I saw Jack Black in New York. He was standing about three feet away from me. All I could think was "man, he’s kinda short."
If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you choose?
I would go back to Paris -- or maybe India or China. I can’t decide.
Name one person you'd most like to meet and why.
I would like to meet David Bowie because he’s a great musician and is one hot old dude.
Which celebrity or public figure do you most resemble?
People tell me I look like Topenga (Danielle Fishel) from Boy Meets World all the time, but I don’t see it.
You're stuck on a deserted island. What is one possession you couldn't live without?
Water.
Ever do something wrong or out of the ordinary? Make a confession and be honest.
One time I was really mad at my brother when we were little and tried to stick a tack in his shoe. My mom caught me though.
Did you ever do something as a child that you look back on now and say, 'Wow, I'm lucky to even be alive after that!'?
I broke my arm three times as a kid, and fell into pools a lot. I’m pretty accident prone.
Name one thing you wish you could do/have.
I wish that I could play an instrument and speak a language fluently. I know a little piano and a little French, but I just don’t have the patience to learn.
What's the best product you use that most people don't know about?
Crystal hot sauce. Goes on everything from pizza and eggs to chili and chicken. Yum.
If you could go back in time and witness one event in history, what would you go back and see?
The Big Bang, if that’s what really happened.
What's the strangest thing you've ever seen?
That lady with the 160lb tumor. How does that happen?
How do you define success?
Success is defined by how happy you are with what you have... you don’t have to make a lot of money or be "successful" as society defines it. If you are happy where you are in life, then that means that you are successful to me. Money and power won’t always make you happy, but doing what you love and being with the people you love will.
What is your favorite sport and favorite team?
My favorite sport is surfing the internet, and I always cheer for team Wendy.
What is your favorite movie ever and why?
My favorite movie of all time is Better off Dead starring Mr. John Cusack. It’s a black comedy from the 80’s with a killer soundtrack and hilarious situations. Love it love it love it.
What is your best investment to date? (doesn't have to be finance-related)
My house is definitely my best investment. After renting a crappy apartment for three years, I quit throwing my money away and love my home.
